The short answer
Develop each perfume bottle size as a separate specification while coordinating silhouette, closure appearance, decoration and packaging. Do not assume every dimension can be scaled proportionally.
A size family should look related while remaining functional at each capacity. The pump, neck and label area may have different constraints from the main bottle body.
Define shared and variable features
Decide which features should remain common, such as cap appearance or decoration style, and which must change with capacity. Obtain drawings for every size rather than approving the range from one sample.
Check operational and commercial effects
Review pump compatibility, tube configuration, artwork adaptation and carton layout for each model. Ask for minimum quantities and tooling requirements per size, then compare the combined project rather than a single unit price.
Procurement checklist
- Approve a drawing for every size.
- Identify shared closure components where feasible.
- Adapt artwork to usable label areas.
- Validate function and packing per model.
- Confirm MOQ and tooling by size.
Common question
Can the same artwork file be resized for the entire range?
It may need more than proportional resizing. Check usable panels, curvature, legibility and production registration for each bottle before approving the artwork.
